The project consists of the installationand operation of the real-time remote metering network for hydrological and hydraulic data covering the territorial scope of the first phase of the Northern Hydrographic Basin, covering the Autonomous Region of Galicia, and part of Asturias and Castile-Leon.

The main objectives are the prevention and control of failures in order to minimise the damage they cause, and the overall management of water resources in order to optimise allocation and exploitation.
