SICE is proud to announce the release of the SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 reports for the Toll 49 tolling system, dated August 31, 2024. These reports reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy—critical components for its partners and stakeholders. The timely delivery of these reports strengthens SICE’s trusted relationship with NET RMA, the public authority overseeing the project, and underscores the company’s dedication to operational excellence in tolling systems.
The Toll 49 project, located in Tyler, Texas, stands out for the successful renewal of its electronic toll collection system (ETCS) in a free-flow configuration. Thanks to SICE’s technology-agnostic strategy, the company seamlessly integrated and reused part of the existing equipment, minimizing service disruption and ensuring a smooth transition. The implemented solution includes not only the upgrade of the roadside system but also the development and maintenance of the central system (Toll Facility Host) and an advanced Maintenance Online Management System (MOMS). Furthermore, the system integrates effectively with the Commercial Back Office, providing a comprehensive and customized solution.
With 5 mainline tolling points and 8 ramp plazas, the Toll 49 system allows for automatic detection and classification of vehicles in motion without interfering with traffic flow. This achievement adds to SICE’s portfolio of iconic projects in the United States, such as the SH-288 in Houston and the tolling system for PRHTA in Puerto Rico, solidifying the company’s position as a key provider of free-flow tolling solutions in North America. With its Tolling Competence Center (TCC) based in Houston, SICE continues to demonstrate its leadership in technological innovation and its ability to deliver efficient, sustainable transportation solutions.
