Photovoltaic plants
SICE plays a leading role in the photovoltaic sector as an installer and operator of photovoltaic plants. Its experience and expertise in this area enables it to undertake solar power installations with peak installed capacities ranging from 30 kW to 1500 kW. The increasing deployment of such photovoltaic installations represents significant progress towards sustainability, and an important step towards the energy transition.
There are different types of self-consumption of electricity defined in Article 9 of Spain’s Electricity Sector Act 24/2013, of 26 December 2013. Self-consumption installations must thus belong to one of the following modalities:
As an installer, SICE is responsible for carrying out the design, engineering and installation of photovoltaic plants. This involves the proper selection of equipment and components, planning the location and layout of the solar panels, and the grid connection. Another of SICE’s tasks is to operate these facilities. We mainly carry out monitoring and maintenance work on photovoltaic plants.
Photovoltaic plants allow us to harness the sun’s energy to produce renewable electricity without greenhouse gas emissions. SICE helps to cut dependence on fossil fuels and reduce the carbon footprint
Reducing dependence on fossil fuels and promoting energy security. Solar energy is an inexhaustible source available worldwide, making it a reliable and sustainable alternative in the long term. SICE promotes energy independence and the autonomy of local communities.
SICE contributes to local job creation and economic development in the areas where these facilities are implemented.
